No starters here, straight into the main event — we went for Phoebe’s birthday, they knew in advance, but no fuss was made. Not bitter, just saying.
I went burger, and it had proper gourmet vibes. Bun was great, chips were strong contenders, but the patty… overcooked and a bit dry. Still tasty, but not the juicy burger dream I’d been picturing.
Phoebe ordered the sea bream and won. Skin was crispier than a Walkers advert, fish cooked to perfection, and flavour was top notch. The couscous, though, turned up watery — more cous-soup than couscous. Thankfully, the pea purée swooped in and glued the whole thing together like a culinary superhero.
The waiter was a legend, full of good vibes, which honestly made the whole experience better. The pub itself? Proper cosy and charming. And apparently, the pizzas here are the real deal — so that’s already on the list for next time.
